This is the year to show educators just how much we love and appreciate them. In addition to the gifts I’ll be purchasing for our amazing teachers, the kids are including something handmade as well. Of all places, these little wooden houses came as a set from Target in the dollar spot section! When I saw them I knew a little paint and decorations would go a long way. Don’t they make the cutest little Holiday houses?! The kids signed them on the bottom, and dated them 2020. A year none of us are likely to forget. I topped them with hot glue and artificial snow, but glitter would work great too! I found the miniature wreaths at michaels, but Amazon carries a bunch as well. You can find a set of similar ones here.
Didn’t they turn out super cute? They would make great gifts for grandparents also, especially grouped together (one made by each Grand).
I’ve also rounded up some fun and functional ideas for thanking the teachers, coaches, and other front line helpers in our lives, because no one deserves recognition this year more than they do. I included ideas to fit every budget, from a bath bomb, to a pair of cozy mittens to keep their hands toasty in the cold.
Regardless of whether you are hand-making your gifts this year, or ordering online, make sure to thank your teachers for all of the important, and unconventional work they are doing this year, all because they love our children!
Happy Holidays!
xx,
Katie
