I always mark my calendar and more importantly set my alarm for the Lilly Pulitzer after party sale, because the prices are amazing, and if you cue up early enough, you can score some really great items at fantastic prices!
Lilly Pulitzer never holds markdowns other than their after party sale events, so this bi-annual sale truly is the best time to shop. They usually hold the winter sale in early January, typically the first week, and since items typically take several weeks to ship, it’s truly the best time to shop for your spring and summer wardrobes. The sale goes live tomorrow morning at 8″ish” according to the site, and runs from Jan 4th through the 6th
Tips for Shopping
Get in line early, and try to shop relatively quickly if you can. Don’t idle too long before you check out. Items and sizes (especially in kid sizes) sell out fast, and adding them to your cart does not put them on hold for you.
You can always come back for more browsing or shopping later, although you will need to rejoin the virtual waiting room. If you shop later in the day, the line is usually gone, if not very short, but many of the best pieces may have already sold out.
Download the app the day before you shop if it’s not already on your device, or log onto the website to update your information. Having your shipping and payment information saved ensures a quicker check out and a much better shot at scoring the items in your cart.
Come back the next day, if not sooner. They restock and add new items to the sale, so if you missed an item the first time, you have a good chance of finding something similar that you love the next time you log on.
My favorite things to shop are loose fitting dresses that can be worn casually in summer, lounge-wear, active-wear, and bathing suits (which sell out fast) and dresses for my girls. Their Luxletic leggings are amazing and I love wearing them throughout the year with light tops, or a warmer Dudley Stephen fleece in cooler months.
Lastly, don’t buy anything you need immediately, like a dress for an upcoming event or party. Shopping is free, but takes several weeks due to the surplus of orders they are processing. It’s hard to be patient waiting for happy mail like Lily, but always worth it when it arrives!
Happy Shopping!

Katie
